I believe that words have great power.
That's why I'm a lawyer and a writer.
In fact, I graduated from law school to deal with contracts in copyright law. I've been doing it for over 20 years now, and every time a person signs a negotiated, good contract, I feel that the job makes sense. My fellow lawyers joke that I do in prevention because a well-drafted contract prevents disputes. Yes, I consult, draft and negotiate contracts. I also write legal opinions if someone needs it. I advise on negotiations. That is what we all need.
Twenty years on, I still see the beauty of negotiation. I delight in contracts.
I believe that knowledge of the law is invaluable.
You can find out exactly what I do and how I can help you in the LAW section.
I am also a writer.
I made my debut at the age of 45 with a collection of short stories that form a novel entitled THE MAP. The theme is one of the oldest maps of the world, made by Fra Mauro and Andreas Bianco in the 15th century. It is a strange map, because it shows not so much the land as the limits of humanity. Is it a story of violence? Not only that.
Then I wrote BLACK HETMAN, a story about the continuity of the war and the fact that we did nothing about the war, as a people. Or rather - we integrated the war into the upbringing of children. A 14-year-old boy, who spends a few January days alone in Krakow, plays a game that takes place in besieged Sarajevo. His father, half Serb, half Ukrainian, fails to take part in the war, fails to save anyone. The story ends with humanity.
I have also written two collections of short stories: NATURALLY and IN MOVEMENT - both published by the Malopolska Cultural Institute and available on the MIK website.
I am the author of a dystopia titled BAJKA, BAJKA. It is an alternative, unhappy version of our history, in which the world is ruled by the United Vatican Powers. Is such a dystopian vision possible? SEE ALSO. Rather - for adults only.
But to keep things from getting too gloomy, I have written two children's novels, THE SILVER DRAGON and THE DRAGON COUNCIL. Both sailor-island, magical and with a rather good ending. Beautifully illustrated and wonderfully published! I read the audiobooks myself.
In addition to this, I have written a few more short stories that have appeared in anthologies and magazines. You can find them all under the tab: BOOKS.
I have received several awards for short stories, novels and screenplays. You can find them all under the AWARDS tab.
In addition, I run creative writing workshops and copyright training.
I teach at the Literary and Artistic College of the Jagiellonian University.
My fix is to impart knowledge and skills to teenagers and young adults. In other words: I invite you to WORKSHOPS.
Besides: I live and work in Krakow.
